ByClaw Privacy Policy
Last updated September 29, 2026. This policy covers the ByClaw website, the apps for iOS, iPadOS, Android and macOS, and related cloud services.

ByClaw is developed and operated by Chaoqun Wang (王超群), an individual developer. For support, privacy, or account requests, email alpcppaul@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Account information (email, display name, hashed password, Apple or Google account identifier, invitation code, and for email-and-password sign-up the accepted Terms version); content you create (messages, files, knowledge-space pages, AI teammate roles and results, including screenshots AI teammates take of a connected computer during a task); and device and technical data (device type, OS and app version, Apple push tokens, IP address, diagnostic data). The live screen stream of a connected computer is encrypted in transit and is not recorded or stored; within the permissions you grant, shell commands, a remote terminal, the clipboard and file transfers can be used on a connected computer, and the microphone is used only for voice messages. AI model and task logs contain usage metadata and, in some cases, request and response content, provider error text and message text; they are kept as operational and security records and are not removed when you delete your account. No advertising identifiers, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Google Sign-In
When enabled for an approved preview account, Google Sign-In requests only openid, email, and profile, and ByClaw does not keep Google access or refresh tokens. The Prod preview service is deployed with enforced preview admission. Google endpoints are configured in ST and Prod for desktop, Android, and iOS. Google consent remains in Testing, and the OAuth consent configuration has not been published to Production.
Use and sharing
Information is used to provide the Service, send your content to the AI model provider performing a task you request, keep the Service secure, and provide support. Service providers: Alibaba Cloud (Singapore hosting; Hong Kong storage and backups), our own servers in mainland China that run AI teammates, AI model providers including DeepSeek and Moonshot AI (mainland China), Anthropic (through relay services), and models reached through routing services such as OpenRouter and Poe; Apple for sign-in and push notifications; and Google for sign-in. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account; this permanently removes your account, sign-in identities, sessions, synced app data, uploaded files, and connected-device records. AI model and task logs are not removed on account deletion. Data held by the servers that run AI teammates, and files stored under an older storage layout, are not yet removed automatically; email us and we will delete them. Messages you posted in other people’s conversations may remain visible to them. Backups are kept according to our backup schedule.
Children
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and UK) to use ByClaw.
